About Mollie
Mollie started riding, aged seven at her local riding school. She began competing with British Eventing at twelve years old and was a member of all the Youth Programmes, culminating with a place on the British Young Rider Team at the European Championships in Fontainebleau, France in 2018 - with a top 10 finish.
After her A levels, and prior to the European Championships, Mollie was thankful to be based with Pippa Funnell, while she set about making a name for herself in the Eventing world. With Pippa, she learned a huge amount, which she has incorporated into her own training and horse management.
On her self-produced horse, ‘Charly’ Mollie has since represented Team GB on three Senior Nations Cup Teams and despite all the adversity of 2020, Mollie still successfully achieved her 5* debut, completing Pau with a clear, inside the time, finishing in the top 10. In 2021, on the FEI Eventing Nations Cup team, Mollie along with her team mates, won the Nations Cup.
The same year, Mollie as won the Luhmühlen 5* 2021. At 23-year-old she became the youngest-ever winner of the event, finishing first with her gelding Charly van ter Heiden. She aims to continue to build her string of talented horses and is aiming for Badminton in 2024.
